A question to my brothers and sisters in Christ. Are you applying your Christianity in all things? Are you sure?
Since May 2011 we have be subjected to various amounts of information coming from the Presidential candidates. Much of what has been presented can be shown to be false if you spend any amount of time researching, as opposed to simply letting the major news outlets inform you of what is going on and what principles to stand on. Through the maelstrom of all this we have seen elections lost due to rigged voting, delegates at times improperly chosen by those in power, and a Presidential nominee declared the one to lead his party despite nothing being properly settled. In short, we’ve been lied to right and left.
What should be our response then? My Christian brothers and sisters, should we blindly accept such a person when the pure data shows his record to be filled with misdirections, falsehood, and subterfuge? Perhaps instead we ought to let the Bible be our guide for a change and realize the folly of allowing ourselves to be lead by such a man. The kingdom we are associated with is not of this world. Why then are we holding tight to leaders claiming to be conservative, yet their past shows them to be in direct conflict with the preeminent set of laws of this nation, much less the principles that God would have us to live our lives by?
Brothers and sisters, what will it take for you to apply your Christianity to your actions in the realm of politics? Will you continue to ally yourself with with liars who would stir you up with mere talking points? Will you sacrifice your Christian principles in what could possibly be a vain hope to see the opposition removed from office? At what cost? This is not a sporting event where our actions behind our choices of who to support means little in the long run. The true loser to the election will be yourself if you allow the worries of this world cloud your judgement and follow after a crooked person seeking the position of leader.
I pray you would instead stand by the principles found in this land’s Constitution; many of which echo those found in the Bible itself. There are other individuals to support and we are afforded the opportunity to write in who we want. Many know whom I would support via my previous posts, that being Ron Paul, but if you don’t support him then I suggest you look hard for an alternative who is standing on sound principles as opposed to just saying what you want to hear at the moment. They are out there. Christians never have the luxury of settling only for what worldly men present to us as options. We must always strive for the purity of principles that shine as gold so that our influence among the worldly never becomes lack luster. If we are unable to find a leader for our nation who is of sound principles after all due diligence has been made in such a search, then we must abstain from the follies of this nation’s various elections.
Ultimately, all of this is a balancing act on our parts. The Bible says we should not worry about our means to provide for ourselves when God is on our side. If it is God’s will for this nation to build in its inequity prior to His judgement upon it, then so be such, and no amount of participation on our part within this nation’s electoral process will change that. In the meantime, if you decide to participate in the dealings that determine who shall lead this worldly nation, be it on a local; state; or national level, then I strongly urge you not to forsake the principles found in the Bible and those that the Constitution mirrors from the Bible. Never let your conscience be the determining factor, for even the Bible says not to go the way that we “think” is right, but to actual seek after what is True and Holy. Finally, let us never forget the words of the Apostle Paul in his closing remarks to the Philippians and may we take comfort in them (Philippians 4:19-20).
It amazes me whenever mankind fails to recall that God holds all dominion and it is by His will things will be. In an article put out by Transmissions, the author goes on to demonstrate how the U.N. is marshaling their scientific resources to put forth the idea that a one world government needs to rise to power in order to ensure the longevity of mankind. I would assert the arrogance of the U.N. rivals that of those who sought to build the Tower of Babel. I would urge prudence on the part of our leaders and those who seek to control us so that they would turn back to God and walk away from the archaic ideas born from druidism and notions of gaia.
